Haier Europe is set to showcase its innovative “Naturally Connected” vision at the IFA Berlin, taking place from September 5 to 9, 2023. The company, part of the world’s largest household appliance manufacturer, Haier Smart Home, will inaugurate its exhibition with a press conference led by CEO Neil Tunstall on September 4 at 15:00 at stand 101 in Hall 3.1. This immersive 3,000 square meter space will highlight the company’s commitment to sustainability and smart home integration.
The exhibition emphasizes the role of the company’s hOn app platform, which now supports over 70% of Haier Europe’s product range. The “Naturally Connected” concept aims to foster connections among technology, individuals, and the environment while minimizing ecological footprints through innovation. Notably, Haier Europe has achieved a remarkable 98% waste recovery rate at its Turkish facilities, earning Zero Waste certification. The company is also targeting 60% renewable energy use by 2025 and has reduced water consumption by over 50% since 2020.
Innovative Product Displays and Sustainability Goals
At the heart of the exhibition is the symbolic hOn Tree, which represents the digital platform connecting and managing over 30 product families, including energy management systems. The hOn app utilizes artificial intelligence and strategic partnerships to offer customized smart home experiences, featuring predictive maintenance and energy optimization capabilities. Visitors will find dedicated hOn Trees in each brand area, showcasing immersive living scenarios with products from the Candy, Hoover, Haier, and Care+Protect brands.
Celebrating its 80th anniversary, Candy is introducing new washing machines that prioritize garment care flexibility, along with the Pro Dry 700 tumble dryer, which features an Active Scent System that releases fragrance through integrated tablets. Kitchen innovations include ovens equipped with No Preheat and FullMenu features, while cooling solutions boast extended Panorama Light and Circle Fresh technologies.
Hoover is rebranding its home cleaning solutions with products like the HW3 Turbo Clean scrubber-dryer and the HF6 Turbo Sense cordless vacuum, both designed for efficient dirt pickup. Additionally, the brand is entering the glass and fabric cleaning market with the HS5 Spot Wash&Dry multi-purpose cleaner.
Advanced Technologies and Live Demonstrations
Haier will present cutting-edge appliance technologies, including Bionic Steam ovens, energy-efficient Heat Pump washing systems, and Biovitae UV-free LED lighting for dishwasher sanitation. Refrigeration innovations to be showcased include Ice&Water Enhance management systems and Protein Bank drawers, designed to extend food freshness.
The exhibition will also feature products from the Casarte design line, a new series of Air Fryers, and the I-Master Series 5 coffee machine, with live demonstrations conducted by Chef Ambassador Tommaso Arrigoni.
