The preliminary final, held at Claremont Oval, showcased both teams’ determination, but Claremont ultimately secured the win with a final score of 65 to 50.

The match was tightly contested, with both teams exchanging leads throughout the game. Claremont demonstrated their resilience, particularly in the second half, where they capitalized on key opportunities. Coach Robert McKenzie praised his players for their effort and execution under pressure, stating, “The boys showed great character, especially in the final quarter when it mattered most.”

Claremont’s victory sets the stage for a highly anticipated grand final, where they will face their rivals, Subiaco, aiming to capture the championship title for the third consecutive year. The grand final is scheduled for March 17, 2025, at Optus Stadium in Perth.

East Fremantle put up a strong fight, with standout performances from players such as Jake Thompson, who scored three goals, and Sam Mitchell, who was instrumental in midfield.
