Dateline Resources has identified significant new gold targets at its Colosseum project in California. This follows an independent review of 3D geophysical studies that ranked six breccia pipe targets based on their strength and depth. The analysis, conducted by respected geophysicist Dr. Kate Selway from Vox Geophysics, utilized magneto-telluric (MT) and gravity data to locate areas indicative of gold-bearing breccia pipes.
Target I has emerged as the most promising site, displaying robust geological characteristics. Situated near the South and North pipes, this target demonstrates a clean overlap of gravity and resistivity lows that plunge several hundred meters deep, suggesting it could be another gold-rich breccia pipe waiting to be explored. According to Dateline Resources’ managing director, Stephen Baghdadi, the independent review enhances their confidence in these targets and aids in prioritizing drilling efforts.
Key Findings from the Geophysical Analysis
Target 5 also shows great potential, distinguished by its substantial size of nearly 500 by 300 meters. This anomaly has the most extensive conductive zone within the survey, reaching about 900 meters below the surface. Its strength and depth indicate a large structure that could significantly bolster Dateline’s gold inventory if confirmed.
Completing the top trio is Target 6, characterized by a tight, circular “bullseye” anomaly approximately 300 meters in diameter, located just south of the current resource. The evidence of gravity and resistivity lows continuing down to about 700 meters further supports the notion that this breccia pipe holds considerable gold potential.
The remaining targets, while perhaps smaller, also show promising signs of mineralization. Each of these locations exhibits gravity lows and resistivity signatures typical of additional breccia pipe systems that could be present beneath the surface.
This comprehensive review and subsequent identification of top targets at the Colosseum project not only refines Dateline Resources’ exploration strategy but also positions the company for potential future success in the gold sector. As the exploration phase progresses, these findings will play a crucial role in shaping the company’s drilling priorities and overall strategy in this promising region of California.
