UPDATE: A woman in her 60s has been hospitalized following a serious single-vehicle crash on the Great Western Highway in the Central West region of New South Wales just after 12:25 PM today, October 29, 2023. This incident has resulted in the closure of one eastbound lane, causing significant traffic disruptions near Hartley.

Earlier this morning, at approximately 7:45 AM, emergency services responded to a tragic accident on Portland Cullen Bullen Road in Portland. An 85-year-old driver was found trapped in his vehicle after colliding with a tree. Despite the quick response from emergency services, the man was pronounced dead at the scene, highlighting the urgent need for road safety awareness.
