DJI has launched the new Osmo Mobile 8, a smartphone gimbal designed to elevate mobile content creation. This latest model integrates advanced tracking capabilities, allowing for 360° horizontal panning and enhanced ergonomics, making it ideal for vloggers, livestreamers, and filmmakers.
The Osmo Mobile 8 incorporates DJI’s proprietary ActiveTrack 7.0 system, which provides smoother tracking and dynamic shooting experiences. Weighing only 370 grams, it is lightweight and easy to handle, enabling users to film for extended periods without discomfort. The gimbal’s 360° rotation facilitates seamless panoramic shots and low-angle footage, enhancing creative possibilities.
Advanced Features and Apple Integration
A standout feature of the Osmo Mobile 8 is its integration with Apple DockKit. This enables iPhone users to leverage Apple’s subject-tracking technology across more than 200 compatible apps, including the native Camera app. This collaboration allows for effective tracking of people, pets, and objects, ensuring they remain in focus even in fast-paced or crowded environments. Additionally, DJI offers a Care Refresh plan for the Osmo Mobile 8, which provides coverage for accidental damage, collisions, and water exposure, allowing up to four replacements over a two-year period.
