The Global Sources Hong Kong Shows, held at AsiaWorld-Expo in October 2025, concluded with significant success, attracting approximately 5,000 suppliers and showcasing over 340,000 innovative products. The three-phase exhibition spanned eight professional sectors, including Gaming, Consumer Electronics, and Smart Home, among others. It recorded more than 120,000 buyer visits, with a notable increase in professional buyers from emerging markets.
Innovative Themes and Key Highlights
The first phase of the show, themed “Where Cutting-Edge Technology Meets Digital Entertainment,” focused on Consumer Electronics, Electronic Components, and Gaming. This segment highlighted the complete esports industry ecosystem, featuring renowned brands and their manufacturing partners. Exhibitors showcased a wide range of products, including gaming PCs, controllers, and immersive audio-visual systems. In a celebrated return, the “KOL & Buyers’ Favorite Gaming Gear Awards” invited international key opinion leaders (KOLs) to assess top products, providing an essential annual sourcing guide for industry professionals.
The second phase introduced the “AI Pavilion,” featuring over 1,200 booths dedicated to innovative applications in smart terminals, wearables, and AI-enabled products. Concurrent events included the Global Sources Summit and AI & Robotics Summit (AIRS), where industry experts discussed strategies for the Asian market and the commercialization of robotics. An AI robot demonstration area allowed visitors to engage with advanced technologies, showcasing real-time control and intelligent human-machine interaction.
The third phase, themed “World Cup Fever, Outdoor Innovation,” presented a diverse array of outdoor and sports products. Notably, the pickleball segment emphasized the sport’s rapid growth, with market size projections estimating an increase from approximately USD 457 million in 2024 to USD 916 million by 2034. The exhibition featured a comprehensive pickleball industry ecosystem, from entry-level to professional products, including paddles and specialized footwear. An indoor training camp invited top local athletes to demonstrate their skills, while the inaugural Pickleball Expo Cup 2025 was also held in partnership with Po Leung Kuk.
Strengthening International Collaborations
The event showcased suppliers from 19 countries and regions, including Bangladesh, South Korea, and Vietnam, highlighting its growing international significance. A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Vietnam Pavilion marked a key moment, officiated by Mrs. VU Thi Thuy, Deputy Consul General of Vietnam in Hong Kong, along with other dignitaries. The pavilion included 20 exhibitors and emphasized the collaborative efforts of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE) and the Vietnam SME Association (VINASME).
To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Global Sources hosted a cocktail party during the event, reflecting on three decades of connecting buyers and suppliers globally. CEO Mr. Hu Wei and Senior Vice President Ms. Carol Lau shared insights into the company’s future, emphasizing their commitment to enhancing global trade through innovative solutions.
Exhibitors expressed strong satisfaction with the outcomes of the shows. Zhu Yong, Sales and Marketing Manager at Shanghai Huamucao Technology Development Co., Ltd., noted the high volume of inquiries from overseas buyers, particularly from Europe and Japan. Euchi Ibrahim, CEO of Tunisian company revo & blackwave, highlighted the attention they received as the first African exhibitor, confirming plans for future participation.
Buyers also praised the event, viewing it as a vital hub for discovering innovative products and establishing face-to-face connections. Rodrigo Ross from Chile remarked on the importance of being present to secure trending products. Experienced buyers emphasized how in-person interactions foster trust and facilitate effective negotiations.
With a strong focus on innovation and AI, Global Sources aims to deepen its role as a premier trade platform.
