Women’s Health Loddon Mallee Offers Free Online Menopause Support

In recognition of World Menopause Day on October 18, Women’s Health Loddon Mallee is launching a series of free online learning sessions starting on October 9. These four sessions aim to provide essential information related to menopause, addressing a range of topics crucial for women navigating this life stage.

The sessions will cover various aspects of menopause, including common symptoms, how to effectively approach a doctor’s appointment, the relationship between menopause and mental health, its impact on intimacy, and strategies for creating menopause-friendly workplaces. Each session is designed to empower participants with knowledge and tools to manage their health and well-being during menopause.

Gabrielle Mentz, the training and education officer at Women’s Health Loddon Mallee, emphasizes the importance of these discussions. “Many women experience menopause in isolation, and it’s vital that they have access to reliable information and support,” she said. “These sessions offer a safe space to learn, ask questions, and connect with others.”

The initiative aims to break down the stigma surrounding menopause and encourage open conversations about the challenges women face during this transition. The sessions will be conducted online, making them accessible to a wider audience, regardless of location.

Participants can expect to learn practical tips for managing symptoms and understanding the broader implications of menopause on mental and emotional health. Additionally, the discussion on workplace policies aims to guide employers on how to support their staff through this natural phase of life, fostering a more inclusive environment.

Women interested in participating in these sessions can register through the Women’s Health Loddon Mallee website. As the organization strives to promote awareness and support around menopause, these learning opportunities are an essential step towards enhancing women’s health and well-being.
