Spook in the Boot Breathes Life into Bilpin with Halloween Celebrations

Bilpin Oval will transform into a vibrant Halloween hub on October 31, 2023, as the popular community event, Spook in the Boot, returns. Scheduled from 17:00 to 19:00, the gathering offers families a safe and enjoyable way to celebrate the spooky season.

Participants can look forward to trick-or-treating from creatively decorated car boots, engaging in games, enjoying delicious food, and taking part in free face painting. The event will also feature a haunted treasure hunt, ensuring a festive atmosphere for all ages. Local families are encouraged to join in the fun by decorating their car boots, with setup beginning at 16:00.

“This event really brings the community together,” said Bilpin resident and mother, Fiona Germaine. She expressed enthusiasm for the event, highlighting its importance in providing a safe environment for children and families to enjoy. “It’s a fun and safe way for kids and families to enjoy the night and my family loves seeing everyone’s costumes and creativity.”

The evening will include a variety of competitions with prizes for the best costumes and decorations. Categories include:

– Best Dressed Male Adult
– Best Dressed Female Adult
– Best Spooky Boot
– Best Dressed Dog
– Best Child (0–3 years)
– Best Child (3–7 years)
