Brissett to Start Again as Murray Continues Recovery

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett will start for the Arizona Cardinals once again as Kyler Murray continues to recover from a foot sprain. Murray, sidelined for three consecutive games, was initially expected to return for Monday night’s matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. However, head coach Jonathan Gannon confirmed on Saturday that Brissett will lead the team instead.

Brissett has shown impressive performance in his time on the field, throwing four touchdown passes with only one interception since stepping in for the injured Murray. Despite his efforts, the Cardinals have struggled significantly, currently on a five-game losing streak after a promising start to the season at 2-0. The team’s performance has raised concerns as they head into the second half of the season.

Murray’s foot injury has kept him from participating in practice, and his next opportunity to return to the starting lineup will be in Week 10 against the Seattle Seahawks. The Cardinals are hopeful that he will be fully recovered by then, as his leadership and playmaking abilities have been sorely missed during his absence.

As the Cardinals prepare to face the Cowboys, Brissett’s continued success will be pivotal in the team’s efforts to turn their season around. The upcoming game will test both Brissett’s abilities as a starter and the team’s overall resilience in the face of adversity. Fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see how the situation unfolds, particularly with a critical matchup against a divisional rival on the horizon.
