DXC Technology to Transform Metropolitan Police Service Operations

DXC Technology, a global leader in technology services, has been selected to spearhead a significant digital transformation program for the Metropolitan Police Service (the Met), the largest police force in the United Kingdom. The announcement, made on November 10, 2025, reveals that DXC will serve as the Master Vendor to provide business process outsourcing (BPO) services, alongside implementing new enterprise resource planning (ERP) and resource management (RM) systems. This contract, spanning over seven years with potential extensions, was awarded following a competitive tender process.

The collaboration aims to modernize the Met’s resource deployment, facilitating enhanced operational efficiency and improved service delivery. By integrating replacement ERP and RM systems, DXC will enable the Met to utilize real-time data to better address local needs and streamline internal processes. This transformation is expected to yield significant cost savings while promoting collaboration among various departments.

Enhancing Policing through Technology

“DXC will help us continue the transformational journey to deliver our New Met for London strategy,” stated Marie Heracleous, Chief Officer of Business Services at the Metropolitan Police Service. She emphasized that the partnership with DXC would lead to better resource management, modernization of technology, and a greater focus on frontline policing. Heracleous expressed optimism about the collaboration, noting that DXC’s bid stood out as the strongest among competitors.

The contract was formalized between DXC Technology and the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC), reflecting MOPAC’s commitment to enhancing digital services that support police officers and foster public trust. “DXC is proud to partner with the Metropolitan Police Service on this mission-critical transformation,” said Derek Allison, UKI Managing Director at DXC. He highlighted the intention to create a modernized service model that aligns with the New Met for London strategy, thereby benefiting both the police force and the communities it serves.

Proven Expertise and Future Impact

This initiative builds on DXC’s extensive experience in facilitating digital transformations within public sector organizations, both in the UK and internationally. By simplifying parts of the Met’s technology landscape, DXC aims to enhance overall performance in frontline operations. The company’s leadership in this domain has been recognized by IDC MarketScape, which recently named DXC a Leader in Worldwide AI Services for National Civilian Government. This accolade underscores DXC’s innovation, public sector expertise, and commitment to responsible AI solutions.

As the Metropolitan Police Service embarks on this ambitious transformation, the partnership with DXC Technology promises to deliver lasting benefits for policing in London, ultimately contributing to safer communities and more effective law enforcement.
