Samsung Electronics has unveiled its next-generation Bespoke AI Laundry Combo at IFA 2025, showcasing a new washer that boasts an impressive 65% energy efficiency. This improvement represents a significant leap from the previous generation models, highlighting Samsung’s commitment to providing smarter and more sustainable laundry solutions tailored for modern households.
Jeong Seung Moon, Executive Vice President and Head of the R&D Team for the Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics, stated, “With the new A-65% washer, Samsung has pushed the boundaries of convenience and energy efficiency once again.” He emphasized that the combination of AI-driven features, hardware upgrades, and a wider variety of design options aims to deliver personalized experiences that reduce user effort while maximizing satisfaction.
Building upon the 55% energy-efficient Bespoke AI Washer launched at IFA 2024, the new models not only enhance performance but also exceed the minimum energy efficiency standards required for a Class A rating in Europe. This benchmark aligns with ongoing efforts in Australia to improve energy efficiency standards.
While the new washer is not yet available in Australia, Samsung highlights that the increased efficiency has been achieved through enhanced motor performance, improved water circulation, and advanced washing algorithms. The washer features the advanced AI Wash+, designed to intelligently adapt to a broader range of fabrics, including outdoor wear and denim. By detecting weight, soiling level, and fabric type, AI Wash+ automatically adjusts water, detergent, and wash time to ensure optimal cleaning results.
In addition to the washer, Samsung also introduced a matching dryer equipped with AI Dry+. This feature detects fabric type and moisture levels to optimize drying time and energy efficiency. The new washer includes a 7-inch intuitive touchscreen, providing users with an interactive experience and seamless integration with Samsung’s SmartThings ecosystem.
Samsung has yet to announce specific availability dates for the new Bespoke AI Washer and dryer in the Australian market, but the innovations showcased at IFA 2025 indicate a forward-looking approach to home appliances that prioritize efficiency and user convenience. As the company continues to push the envelope in appliance technology, consumers can expect a more integrated and sustainable approach to laundry solutions in the near future.
