Chuck E. Cheese Opens First Australian Location in Joondalup

Chuck E. Cheese's first Australian restaurant will open in Joondalup, Perth.

URGENT UPDATE: Chuck E. Cheese is set to launch its first-ever Australian restaurant in Joondalup, Perth, on Saturday, November 4, 2023. This highly anticipated opening promises an exciting blend of entertainment and dining for local families, marking a significant milestone for the popular American chain.

The venue will officially open its doors at Winton Rd, welcoming customers to enjoy a menu filled with fresh-made pizza, wings, traditional sides, and desserts, alongside a variety of drinks, including adult beverages. But the food is just the beginning of the fun.

Mario Centola, COO of Chuck E. Cheese International, emphasized the extensive entertainment options available, stating, “(There’s) great entertainment; we have the climbing zone, the adventure zone, the games zone—there’s so much for the family to see and do.” This focus on family-friendly activities is aligned with the company’s mission to create a unique dining and entertainment experience.

The opening in Joondalup comes through a partnership with the Royale Hospitality Group, a Western Australian company known for its successful ventures with brands like Milky Lane and Outback Jacks. This collaboration aims to bring the Chuck E. Cheese experience to Australian families, capitalizing on the area’s family-oriented demographic.

Founded in Texas in 1977, Chuck E. Cheese has grown into a global entertainment powerhouse with over 650 locations worldwide. Despite concerns from some local business owners, Bradley Woods, CEO of the Australian Hotels Association WA, reassured the public, stating that the new establishment would “add diversity, add different flavour, and add more entertainment and flexibility” to the local market.

As the clock ticks down to the grand opening, excitement is building among Joondalup residents eager to experience this new venue. Families are encouraged to mark their calendars for this Saturday, when Chuck E. Cheese officially makes its Australian debut, promising an unforgettable day filled with fun, food, and laughter.

Stay tuned for more updates as this story develops, and don’t miss out on being one of the first to enjoy the unique offerings of Chuck E. Cheese in Joondalup!
