Contestants Rush to Finish Homes Ahead of $3.5M Auctions

UPDATE: Contestants from The Block are back on site in Daylesford, Victoria, making a final push before the highly anticipated multimillion-dollar auctions. The price guide for all five houses ranges from $3 million to $3.5 million, and the pressure is on as the auction day approaches.

After 12 weeks of intense building, contestants like Sonny and Alicia have started to settle into their homes. “It feels a bit strange,” Alicia shared, reflecting on their first days living in House 4. “When we first sat on the couch, Sonny stood up, thinking he had to get back to work!” The couple recently hosted 40 children from the Heart Kids Foundation, aiming to create lasting memories while supporting a worthy cause. “It’s just nice to bring them out and take them through The Block homes,” Alicia added.

Meanwhile, fellow contestants Han and Can are hard at work in House 2, ensuring every detail is polished before the auction. “We’re painting, patching, and finessing every detail,” Can stated. Their commitment to perfection means they will also be living in the house temporarily to engage with potential buyers. “We want to introduce ourselves to the locals and show them the space,” Han explained. “If someone wants us to stay, we could stay for 12 months.”

The emotional stakes are high as each contestant hopes for a successful auction. Britt and Taz, newcomers from Newman, Western Australia, are equally invested in the outcome. “We didn’t even know Daylesford existed before The Block,” Taz remarked. “We’re really proud of our journey from where we started to where we are now.”

With the auction looming, contestants are prioritizing last-minute touch-ups to their homes. The competitive atmosphere is palpable, and each team is determined to make their property stand out. As excitement builds, buyers are encouraged to visit the homes and engage with the builders. The community support is evident, and contestants are leaning into their connections with locals.

As the countdown to auction day continues, these contestants are not just racing against the clock; they are also vying for a chance to transform their hard work into financial success. With the stakes this high, every decision counts, and the future of their dreams hangs in the balance.

Stay tuned for more updates as The Block’s auction day approaches, and be sure to catch all the latest developments as contestants finalize their preparations for what could be a life-changing event.
