According to reports, Ms. Cotton was cleaning the back verandah of her home when the suspect approached her, demanding her jewelry. When she refused, he violently assaulted her, dragging her into her garage where the brutality escalated. During the attack, he allegedly bit off one of Ms. Cotton’s fingers to steal her ring.
