URGENT UPDATE: The 66th edition of the Riverland Field Days was a resounding success, attracting over 10,000 attendees this past weekend in Barmera. The event, held on Friday and Saturday, showcased 225 exhibitors and vendors, all of whom reported high engagement and sales.
Executive manager Emma Gwiazda expressed her enthusiasm, stating that the support for the 2025 event was “fantastic,” especially amid ongoing challenges like drought and rising costs. “It was so great to see so many businesses at this year’s Field Days,” she noted, adding that exhibitors were thrilled with the turnout and customer interaction.
Families flocked to popular attractions such as the Factory FMX motorbike display and Old MacDonald’s Travelling Farm, which delighted attendees of all ages. Positive feedback from visitors highlighted the community spirit and engagement at this year’s event.
As plans for the 2026 Riverland Field Days begin, Ms. Gwiazda confirmed that early bird registrations will open on November 26, 2025. The committee is particularly excited about continuing the Local Hero Award tradition, which honors outstanding community volunteers. This year, Samuel Taylor from LifeFM received the accolade for his contributions.
Long-time local business owners Kerry and Trevor Braun of Strawberries Galore once again brought their iconic fruit delights to the event, celebrating 40 years of their business this December.
The Riverland Field Days not only showcase agricultural innovations but also foster connections within the community, making it a vital event for both local and regional stakeholders. As the area looks forward to improved conditions for grape producers and the wine industry, the excitement for next year’s event continues to build.
