Urgent: Activist Charlie Kirk Shot at Utah University, Bali Floods Kill 10+

BREAKING: Conservative political activist Charlie Kirk has been shot while addressing a crowd at Utah Valley University earlier today. The incident occurred at approximately 12:10 PM local time as Kirk spoke from a tent marked with the slogan “The American Comeback.” Eyewitness accounts describe a chaotic scene as Kirk was struck in the neck, leading to immediate evacuation by his security team. He has been hospitalized and is reported to be in critical condition.

In the wake of this shocking event, Donald Trump expressed his support, stating, “We must all pray for Charlie Kirk,” calling him “a great guy from top to bottom.” A suspect has been taken into custody, and campus police are actively investigating the shooting.

Meanwhile, in a separate unfolding crisis, more than 10 people are feared dead on the Indonesian island of Bali following severe flash flooding caused by the first heavy rains of the wet season. The torrential downpour, which began late on Tuesday and continued into Wednesday, transformed small creeks into dangerous torrents, collapsing buildings and creating severe traffic gridlock in affected areas. A notable incident involved a building collapsing along the Badung River in Denpasar City.

Tourist hotspots largely escaped the worst of the flooding, but low-lying areas have been inundated. Videos circulating on social media depict tourists navigating floodwaters, with some relying on rescue boats to reach higher ground. One taxi driver reported it took him a staggering five hours to traverse a mere 20 kilometers from Canggu to the airport due to the flooding.

In political developments, Jacinta Nampijinpa Price has been dismissed from the Coalition frontbench amid internal conflict following her controversial remarks about Labor prioritizing Indian migration for electoral gains. Sussan Ley, the Opposition Leader, requested her resignation after Price refused to publicly support Ley’s leadership or apologize to the Indian community earlier today.

These events underscore a tumultuous day on multiple fronts, both politically and in terms of public safety. Stay tuned as we bring you the latest updates on both stories.
