Urgent: Driver Flees After Causing Crash on Hume Highway

UPDATE: A driver has fled the scene after causing a major crash on the Hume Highway in Albury that severely damaged two vehicles. The incident occurred at approximately 3:20 PM on August 18.

Authorities report that a Mustang, a Toyota utility, and a third unidentified vehicle were traveling past East Street towards the Borella Road exit when the crash happened. The unknown vehicle collided with the rear of the Mustang, leading to a chain reaction that forced the Mustang into the utility. The utility subsequently spun out and crashed into a guardrail, resulting in extensive damage to both vehicles.

Police are actively investigating the incident, with a spokeswoman confirming, “Police have commenced an investigation into the incident.” She added that investigators are particularly interested in tracing the driver of a silver-coloured car seen in the vicinity at the time of the crash.
