BREAKING: A tragic incident at the Grand Canyon has resulted in the death of a 65-year-old man who fell approximately 40 meters from Guano Point on November 6. The man, whose identity remains undisclosed, reportedly lost his footing around 2 PM while visiting the popular tourist destination.

“We located him about 130 feet (40 meters) down on a scree pile,” stated the search and rescue office. “Technical rope technicians set up a lowering and raising system using ropes to recover him and convey the body to the Mohave County Medical Examiners Office.”
The recovery operation involved the Hualapai Tribal Police Department, Hualapai Nation Fire, and Grand Canyon West Security, all of whom worked diligently under challenging conditions.
