Police responded to a residence in Springvale around 1:30 PM on July 29 in connection with the assault that occurred earlier that day in Mount Waverley. Upon arrival, officers discovered that Ghebrat had already fled the scene.
Ghebrat, aged 42, is described as 195 cm tall with a medium build, black short straight hair, brown eyes, and an olive complexion. He is currently believed to be clean-shaven but is known to occasionally grow facial hair. Police have received reports of him being seen in South Melbourne on the morning of August 1.
Authorities warn the public not to approach Ghebrat, as he has a history of carrying weapons and may be armed. Residents of the Springvale and Murrumbeena areas are particularly urged to remain vigilant.
