Wanglaoji Launches WALOVI Cans in Australia, Expands Globally

UPDATE: Wanglaoji has just launched its innovative WALOVI international cans in Sydney, Australia, marking a major step in its global strategy. The event took place on October 31, 2025, during the 22nd World Congress of Chinese Medicine, and highlights the brand’s growing influence in the international beverage market.

This launch is not just about introducing a new product; it signifies a pivotal moment in Wanglaoji’s mission to bring Eastern wellness philosophy to a broader audience. Chairman of Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited, Li Xiaojun, emphasized the importance of storytelling in expanding Chinese brands globally, stating, “We should also tell Chinese stories in a way that appeals to young people around the world.”

Wanglaoji’s partnership with Valucky Australia Pty Ltd aims to distribute WALOVI cans across various platforms, including convenience stores, Chinese restaurants, and major online retailers such as Woolworths and Costco. This comprehensive distribution strategy is designed to meet the rising demand for healthy beverages among Australian consumers.

With Frost & Sullivan reporting that WALOVI has led the global plant beverage sales for five consecutive years, and holding nearly 50% of the domestic market share, the brand is positioned for significant impact. Over the past decade, its overseas market presence has surged 6.5-fold, with an impressive annual growth rate exceeding 25%.

Wanglaoji’s transformation from traditional Chinese medicine to herbal tea and now to natural plant beverages showcases its adaptability to market demands. The brand, which has a legacy of 197 years, is committed to connecting with consumers through its innovative products.

As WALOVI international cans make their debut in Australia, the company is set to continue its expansion strategy across the globe, including regions such as Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America. The global launch of these cans earlier this year in Shanghai emphasizes Wanglaoji’s dedication to becoming a leading player in the international beverage market.

Expect to see WALOVI cans available soon in retail outlets and online platforms, bringing a taste of Eastern wellness to Australian consumers. This launch not only elevates Wanglaoji’s profile internationally but also represents a broader trend of cultural exchange and appreciation in the global marketplace.

Stay tuned for more updates as Wanglaoji takes significant strides in redefining wellness beverages worldwide.
