Women’s Justice Conference in Melton Set for October 4

URGENT UPDATE: The Women for Justice Conference is set to take place on October 4, 2023, at Grace Community Church in Melton, focusing on essential justice issues affecting communities and the planet. This pivotal event, running from 10 AM to 3 PM, invites women to engage in powerful discussions about justice on multiple levels.

Hosted by the Grace Community Church, the conference will feature a range of sessions aimed at empowering attendees to tackle justice-related challenges. Sue Waddell, leader of the church’s women’s ministries, emphasized the crucial role women play in fostering justice within families and communities. “Women are often the ones that can drive justice, but they can also be the victims,” Waddell stated. This sentiment underscores the conference’s mission to inspire action and dialogue around justice.

The event will kick off with a session titled “Justice for the World,” featuring a speaker from Creature Kind, who will address pressing environmental issues and advocate for sustainable choices. This session aims to equip participants with knowledge on how they can contribute positively to the world.

Following that, the “Justice for Country” segment will explore ways to cultivate a more just society for all cultures. This is particularly relevant as communities continue to grapple with issues of inequality and injustice.

The conference will conclude with a compelling panel discussion and a screening of “Reclaimed Voices,” a documentary from the ASPYA Foundation. This film highlights stories of resilience and advocacy, aiming to inspire attendees to take action in their own lives.

A $10 donation is encouraged to help cover refreshments, lunch, and a gift bag that includes valuable information about local support organizations. Waddell stated, “This conference will tap into the desire within us to live in a just society,” making it clear that participation is not just about discussion but about driving change.

Participants must register by September 28, 2023, to secure their spot. For registration and inquiries, contact Grace Community Church at [email protected] or call 9746 0488.

This conference is an urgent call to action for women eager to make a difference in their communities and beyond. Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of this significant event in Melton!
