Addison Rae Celebrates Lana Del Rey’s Perfectionist Spirit at Wembley

Addison Rae recently expressed admiration for Lana Del Rey’s meticulous artistry during their shared performance at Wembley Stadium in London last month. The social media sensation and rising pop artist highlighted their mutual commitment to high standards in their craft, describing Lana as a “perfectionist” who inspires those around her.

In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, Rae shared her thoughts on Del Rey, stating, “It was so fun. Lana is one of the greatest artists of our generation – honestly, of our lifetime.” She continued to praise Del Rey’s kindness and openness, noting, “She’s such a perfectionist, which is so inspiring to watch.” Rae emphasized her own perfectionist tendencies, appreciating the opportunity to witness someone who consistently strives for excellence in their performances.

The 24-year-old star had previously referred to Del Rey, aged 40, as a “divine woman” after their Wembley shows. In an emotional Instagram post, she wrote, “Thank you so much to the most beautiful divine woman, heart, soul, mind…, Lana. I am the happiest and luckiest girl on earth. Being next to you is spiritual.”

Anticipation for Debut Concert Tour

As Rae prepares to embark on her debut concert tour later this month, she is filled with excitement and nerves about the upcoming experience. “I’ve been having a lot of fun. I’m excited. I’m nervous,” she shared. “It’s gonna be so wild. I got a nice little taste of it a few times with doing the Box shows and then obviously I got to open up for Lana, so that was really fun.”

This tour marks a significant milestone for Rae, as it will focus exclusively on her music. “This is such a different experience because it’ll be everyone coming to listen to just my album and a few other songs,” she added.

Rae’s debut album, titled Addison, was released in June 2023 and features an all-female production team, including Elvira Anderfjard and Luka Kloser. She expressed pride in this unique aspect of the project, stating, “I think the perspective of having a room of only females was just a really different energy than what we’re all used to.”

Breaking Ground in the Music Industry

The artist acknowledged that such a collective is rare in the industry, saying, “It doesn’t really happen very often.” Rae emphasized the significance of having a team of women around her age, sharing similar life experiences in a challenging industry. “I didn’t expect it to happen this way, and I don’t think anybody else expected that from me, which was really nice, because I think it’s always good to have people unsure of what you’re going to do.”

As Addison Rae continues to carve her path in the music world, her appreciation for artists like Lana Del Rey highlights the importance of collaboration, inspiration, and the pursuit of excellence. Her upcoming tour promises to be an exciting chapter in her career, showcasing her growth as an artist and her commitment to creating music that resonates with her audience.
