Ashley St. Clair Claims Eviction Amid Custody Battle with Musk

Ashley St. Clair, former partner of billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, has publicly stated that she is facing eviction during an ongoing custody dispute over their 11-month-old son, Romulus. St. Clair, who has recently launched a podcast titled Bad Advice, revealed her struggles in the first episode aired on August 18, 2025, describing her past year as one of “unplanned career suicide” and questionable decisions.

In her podcast debut, St. Clair candidly shared her experiences, stating, “Well, after a year of unplanned career suicide, many questionable life choices and a gap in my LinkedIn profile that cannot be legally explained, I’ve decided to start a podcast.” She explained that she felt compelled to join a marketing scheme that provided her with $10,000 to promote a product. “Polymarket offered me $10,000 to do an ad read. So with that, the roof over my head has been brought to you by Polymarket,” she added. St. Clair emphasized that her financial situation forced her to take this route, stating, “Not because anybody asked, but because statistically speaking, it was either join this or join a multi-level marketing scheme.”

St. Clair is seeking sole custody of Romulus, amid claims that Musk has not been forthcoming with child support. Earlier this year, Musk, who has a total of 13 children with various partners, countered allegations that he was failing to provide financial assistance, claiming he had given St. Clair $2.5 million and provided annual support of $500,000. He expressed uncertainty about his paternity of Romulus, a statement St. Clair strongly contests.

In response to Musk’s claims, St. Clair asserted that he has refused to undergo a paternity test. She stated on X, “Elon, we asked you to confirm paternity through a test before our child (who you named) was even born.” Furthermore, she alleged that Musk had withdrawn financial support to assert control over her. “And you weren’t sending *me* money, you were sending support for your child that you thought was necessary… until you withdrew most of it to maintain control and punish me for disobedience. But you’re really only punishing your son,” she said.

St. Clair first acknowledged Musk as the father of Romulus on February 14, 2024, stating, “Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father … I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.”

According to court documents, St. Clair began her relationship with Musk in May 2023, and she claims their son was conceived in January 2024. She has alleged that Musk was absent during the birth of Romulus and has shown little interest in custody arrangements. St. Clair reported that Musk has only met their child three times, with visits on September 21, 2021, for two hours in New York, one hour the following day, and a brief 30-minute meeting on November 30, 2024, in Austin, Texas.

As the custody battle unfolds, St. Clair continues to navigate her personal and professional challenges, emphasizing her commitment to her son amidst the turmoil.
