Two-Year-Old Boy in Critical Condition After Van Collision in Melbourne

URGENT UPDATE: A two-year-old boy is currently on life support at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne after being struck by a white van late last night. The incident occurred at approximately 9:30 PM on Thames Promenade, near the intersection with Mulkarra Drive, when the child was riding his balance bike across a pedestrian crossing.

Authorities confirm the boy was hit while accompanied by his father, who was unharmed. An off-duty police officer witnessed the collision and immediately stopped to assist the injured child, who was later treated by emergency services at the scene.
