Livestock Malaysia 2025 Launches with Key Innovations and Insights

UPDATE: The highly anticipated Livestock Malaysia 2025 has officially opened today, August 27, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). This three-day event is set to transform the livestock industry with over 200 leading brands and companies from more than 30 countries, attracting over 6,000 industry professionals eager to explore groundbreaking technologies and market trends.

With Southeast Asia’s livestock demand projected to surge 25% by 2030, Livestock Malaysia 2025 addresses critical challenges such as rising feed costs and the need for sustainable practices. Opening remarks by YB Dato’ Sri Arthur Kurup, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, highlighted Malaysia’s ambitious vision to evolve into a high-tech livestock industry capable of meeting not only local but regional needs.

“Today, we stand at the threshold of a new transformation,” said Kurup, emphasizing the importance of local feed production and alternative protein development. The event serves as a comprehensive solutions hub, connecting stakeholders with innovative technologies and strategies designed to enhance resilience and foster sustainable growth in a competitive environment.

The exhibition features a rich program, including Technical Seminars, the International Livestock Forum, and the Malaysia Livestock Industry Awards, which recognize excellence in the sector. Participants can gain invaluable insights into best practices, market dynamics, and the latest trends in livestock management.

Attendees will also discover international innovations such as smart feeding systems and advanced biosecurity measures. This exposure to global best practices will empower local farmers to improve operations and outcomes.

The event aligns with Malaysia’s National Agro-Food Policy 2021-2030, which aims for 60% self-sufficiency in key protein sources. Dr. Aida Muhid, Senior Director of the Department of Veterinary Services Malaysia, reinforced the collaborative spirit necessary for industry transformation, stating,

“We see every farmer as a partner, every integrator as a collaborator.”

As Livestock Malaysia 2025 continues through August 29, trade visitors are encouraged to register and engage in this transformative event. This gathering not only showcases innovation but also acts as a catalyst for business growth, connecting local producers with international technology providers.
