UPDATE: An urgent fundraiser for UNICEF’s Cook For Kids initiative is set to take place in Erina on October 15, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The event aims to provide essential support to children facing severe hardships, particularly in Gaza, where many are deprived of basic necessities like food and clean water.
As the crisis in Gaza escalates, a spokesperson emphasized the pressing need for community support. “In a world where countless children are suffering, we feel a deep responsibility to help,” they stated. This event will raise crucial funds to assist UNICEF in delivering food and support to vulnerable children globally.
The day’s schedule is packed with engaging activities for all ages, ensuring that everyone can participate in making a difference. Highlights include chair yoga for adults and seniors, starting at 9:00 AM. This gentle class is designed for those with limited mobility, focusing on improving flexibility and strength.
From 9:30 AM, children can join Kids Yoga, a playful session that promotes movement and mindfulness. Following this, Kids Move will take place from 10:00 AM, offering a high-energy experience filled with games and exercises aimed at boosting coordination and confidence.
Adults and seniors can also take part in a Core and Stretch session from 10:30 AM, focusing on core strengthening and overall wellbeing. Other exciting features include a bake sale from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, face painting, crafts, and a lucky draw prize.
