Kit Harington and Keira Knightley have been announced as part of the voice cast for the new Harry Potter audiobook series. The actors, known for their roles in *Game of Thrones* and *Pride and Prejudice* respectively, will lend their voices to iconic characters in the upcoming project produced by Pottermore Publishing and Audible.
Harington will portray Professor Gilderoy Lockhart, while Knightley takes on the role of Professor Dolores Umbridge. They are among ten new cast members contributing to the *Harry Potter: The Full-Cast Audio Editions*. Other notable additions include Iwan Rheon as Professor Remus Lupin and Gemma Whelan as Professor Pomona Sprout. Ruth Wilson joins the cast as Bellatrix Lestrange, while Ambika Mod voices Nymphadora Tonks. Leo Woodall will depict Bill Weasley.
James McAvoy has also joined the cast as Mad-Eye Moody, with Matt Berry voicing Sir Cadogan. For the first three books—*The Philosopher’s Stone*, *The Chamber of Secrets*, and *The Prisoner of Azkaban*—the roles of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger will be voiced by Frankie Treadaway, Max Lester, and Arabella Stanton, respectively. Notably, Arabella Stanton has also been cast as Hermione in HBO’s upcoming television reboot.
As for the remaining four audiobooks—*The Goblet of Fire*, *The Order of the Phoenix*, *The Half-Blood Prince*, and *The Deathly Hallows*—the trio of Treadaway, Lester, and Stanton will be replaced by Jaxon Knopf, Rhys Mulligan, and Nina Barker-Francis.

The *Full-Cast Audio Editions* will also feature Cush Jumbo as the narrator, with Hugh Laurie taking on the role of Albus Dumbledore, Matthew Macfadyen as Lord Voldemort, and Riz Ahmed voicing Professor Severus Snape. Michelle Gomez will portray Professor Minerva McGonagall, while Mark Addy will once again voice Hagrid. The cast is further complemented by Alex Hassell as Lucius Malfoy, Daniel Mays as Dobby, and Sara and Anvi Deshmukh as the Patil twins.
These audiobooks are distinct from HBO’s television series, which has its own separate casting. Recently, Sophie Turner, a former star of *Game of Thrones*, offered words of caution to the new child actors involved in the Harry Potter project. In an interview with *Flaunt* magazine, she emphasized the importance of maintaining a grounded lifestyle amidst the pressures of fame. She advised them, “Stay friends with your home friends, keep living at home with your family, make sure your parents are your chaperones — it’s so important to have that grounding adjacent to the big, crazy stuff that you do.”
With this exciting new lineup, the *Harry Potter: The Full-Cast Audio Editions* promises to bring a fresh experience to the beloved series, appealing to both new and longtime fans.
