Restaurant Jöns Jacob Closes for Renovations, Microwave Area Relocated

Jöns Jacob, a popular restaurant, will close its doors for renovations during the autumn semester of 2025. This temporary closure aims to enhance the dining experience at the establishment, which is located in the BZ building at Berzelius väg 3.

During the renovation period, the microwave area, known as Mikrotorget, will be relocated to the entrance hall of the BZ building. The new location will occupy the former premises of the Medical Bookstore, ensuring that students and staff have continued access to microwave facilities while the restaurant undergoes improvements.

For those seeking dining options on campus, several alternatives are available. The Aula Medica at Nobels väg 6 and Biomedicum at Solnavägen 6 offer coffee and lunch services. These locations provide convenient access to meals for individuals visiting the campus during the renovation period.

The decision to close Jöns Jacob and relocate the microwave area reflects a commitment to maintaining high standards in campus facilities. Students and faculty are encouraged to utilize the alternative dining options while renovations are underway. Further updates regarding the reopening of Jöns Jacob will be communicated as the project progresses.
