Australian musician G Flip and reality television star Chrishell Stause have embarked on a unique journey by planning to celebrate their marriage every year. The couple initially tied the knot in Las Vegas in May 2023 and has since hosted several wedding celebrations, including a themed ceremony in July 2023.
The idea for their multiple weddings arose from their first ceremony, which G Flip described as a “shotgun” event, leaving their family with only three hours’ notice. This prompted the couple to agree on hosting additional celebrations to include more loved ones. In an interview with People magazine, G Flip shared, “Then we did another one, but then my family couldn’t make it, and they were like, ‘Well, will you do an Australian one?’ And then I was like, ‘Yep, we’ll do an Australian one.'”
Creating a New Tradition
The couple hosted three weddings in quick succession, ultimately deciding to continue this tradition annually. G Flip explained, “So we did three in a row, and then we were like, ‘We may as well just do this every year and make it a tradition.'” Their most recent celebration was a Medieval-themed wedding held at a castle, which began as a light-hearted idea but evolved into a serious plan.
G Flip recounted how the Medieval wedding concept spiraled into reality, stating, “For some reason, it was like, ‘Imagine doing a Medieval wedding.’ And then it was like, ‘Oh my God, that’d be so funny. We could get swordsmen. A flute player.'” Ultimately, the couple secured a castle through Airbnb, allowing them to bring their whimsical idea to life.
To keep the planning manageable, G Flip and Stause intend to organize their annual weddings just a week in advance, ensuring a relaxed atmosphere. Each ceremony will feature a different guest list of 10 to 15 close friends and family.
Future Celebrations and Family Aspirations
As they look to the future, Stause has expressed interest in exploring creative wedding themes. “Now Chrishell’s like, ‘I want to do an emo wedding next year,'” G Flip shared enthusiastically. They are already brainstorming ideas, including a gothic cathedral venue and a pop-punk band for the occasion.
Alongside their wedding celebrations, Stause has been vocal about her desire to start a family. In June 2023, she revealed on her Instagram Story that she was “back on the IVF hell train,” indicating her commitment to the process. Stause mentioned, “I think this may be my last attempt. There are other alternatives, but this route needed to be tried first because of timing. So if it’s meant to be, it will be. If not, pivot.”
She has also expressed gratitude for the support she has received throughout her IVF journey, sharing heartfelt messages with her followers. The couple’s commitment to each other, both in marriage and future family plans, reflects a deep bond that resonates with their audience.
As G Flip and Chrishell Stause continue to redefine their love story, their annual wedding tradition not only celebrates their union but also embraces the joy of creativity and the importance of family.
