BREAKING: Tacodeli, the beloved Austin taco chain, is set to expand rapidly with new locations in the works. This news comes as CEO Peter Gaudreau confirms plans for multiple outlets, including two in the Austin metro area and one in Houston.
The first Austin location is planned for 12705 Center Lake Drive in Tech Ridge, while the second will be situated at 408 E. San Gabriel Parkway in Leander. The Houston store is slated for 19302 Katy Freeway. While the exact timing for construction and completion remains unclear, the excitement surrounding Tacodeli’s growth is palpable.
According to Roberto Espinosa, co-owner and founder, the chain aims to have 40 locations by 2029. “The growth is allowing us to go further than we thought we would in Austin — the city is expanding,” Espinosa stated.
The company has ambitious plans beyond Austin, with potential openings in Kyle, Dripping Springs, Georgetown, and Round Rock. Gaudreau has also indicated that Tacodeli will continue to grow southward toward San Antonio.
Future sites are being carefully selected, with a preference for locations that include patios and are situated at “end caps or free-standing near grocery stores such as Whole Foods Market and H-E-B, fitness operators, coffee shops, and juice stores.” Espinosa highlighted the beneficial collaboration with JuiceLand, noting, “We have a very good synergistic relationship with them.”
The chain is also partnering with H-E-B, a leading Texas grocer, to enhance its offering. “It works well because they look for opportunities to bring people into their grab-and-go settings and their coffee shops,” Espinosa remarked. “We’ve got a pilot going with them, serving our tacos in the morning segment in eight locations.”
This expansion is not just about increasing numbers; it represents Tacodeli’s commitment to the community and its customers. As the brand grows, it aims to maintain its local charm and connection with fans.
Stay tuned for further updates as Tacodeli gears up for its exciting future. This development is generating buzz in the local culinary scene, and taco lovers won’t want to miss out!
