Northern Endeavour Seeks Proposals for Decommissioning Phase 2

The Northern Endeavour decommissioning program is moving forward with its Phase 2, which involves the permanent plugging and abandonment of nine wells located in the Laminaria and Corallina oil fields. This next stage aims to ensure environmental safety and compliance with regulatory standards as the project progresses.

Organizations interested in participating in this significant undertaking are invited to submit proposals. The work will be carried out in two distinct stages, with a clear emphasis on aligning with the project’s specific priorities. These priorities highlight the importance of adhering to the environmental and technical requirements set forth in the tender documentation.

Information Sessions Scheduled

To facilitate understanding of the project and its requirements, the Northern Endeavour team will conduct four industry briefing sessions for potential bidders. Each session will focus on different aspects of the request for tender (RFT), including commercial, technical, regulatory, and financial considerations. These briefings are set to take place during the week of September 22-26, 2025, providing interested parties with an opportunity to gain critical insights before submitting their proposals.

The decommissioning of the Laminaria and Corallina oil fields represents a significant step in responsible resource management. The Northern Endeavour program underscores the commitment to environmental stewardship and the importance of executing projects with safety and compliance at the forefront.

Organizations looking to participate should ensure they are prepared to meet the critical requirements outlined in the RFT documentation. This will include demonstrating relevant experience, technical capabilities, and financial stability.

As the Northern Endeavour team prepares to engage with industry stakeholders, there is an emphasis on transparency and collaboration throughout the decommissioning process. The upcoming briefing sessions will serve as a platform for dialogue, allowing potential bidders to clarify any queries they may have regarding the project’s scope and expectations.

In summary, Phase 2 of the Northern Endeavour decommissioning program is poised to make significant strides in responsible oil field management. The call for proposals, alongside the scheduled industry briefings, reflects a proactive approach towards involving qualified organizations in this crucial phase of the project.
