Three Questioned in Urgent Search for Missing Attadale Man

UPDATE: Authorities are urgently questioning three individuals in connection with the mysterious disappearance of 33-year-old Jayden Selfe, as police intensify their search in bushland near Wanneroo, Perth. Selfe has not been heard from since early May, prompting grave concerns for his welfare.

Detectives have been meticulously examining a unit on Money Road in Attadale, where Selfe lived for several years. This search, ongoing for more than two weeks, follows the alarming report of his disappearance last month. Police have also identified a significant area of bushland in north-east Wanneroo, confirming they found several items linked to Selfe and his residence.

As of Sunday morning, authorities revealed that two men and a woman are assisting in the investigation. While no charges have been filed, police are working diligently to gather evidence. A police spokesperson emphasized, “Inquiries remain ongoing and we hold grave concerns for his welfare.”

Police Minister Reece Whitby stated that law enforcement is allocating “all of the resources they can” to uncover the truth behind Selfe’s disappearance. Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Leigh McKnight from the Homicide Squad indicated that investigations are focusing on whether Selfe was killed before being disposed of in the Wanneroo bushland.

“From ongoing forensic examinations and information from witnesses, we have no reason to believe he’s still alive at this point,” McKnight reported on Tuesday. The last confirmed contact with Selfe occurred in mid-May, coinciding with the timeline during which items may have been discarded, potentially including his body.

The emotional toll on Selfe’s family is profound, as they remain in close contact with police. Detective McKnight assured the public that all individuals connected to Selfe, including known associates, are under scrutiny. However, there currently appears to be no connection to organized crime. “We believe the situation is rather confined and that those involved were known to him,” McKnight added, reassuring the community that there is no immediate risk to public safety.

Detectives urge anyone with information about Jayden Selfe’s whereabouts to act immediately. Contact police at 131 444 or reach out to Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000 or through their website at www.crimestopperswa.com.au. Your information could be pivotal in solving this urgent case.

As the investigation continues to unfold, the community watches closely, hoping for answers in this troubling disappearance.
