NFL Week 4 Inactives: Key Players’ Status Ahead of Kickoff

As NFL teams finalize their lineups, the inactives list for Week 4 is generating significant interest among fantasy football enthusiasts. With kickoff times approaching, teams are confirming which players will take the field and which will remain sidelined. Official inactives are expected to be released about 90 minutes before the scheduled game times: around 11:30 a.m. ET for early matches and 2:30 p.m. ET for late-afternoon games.

Fans are particularly focused on the matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and the Pittsburgh Steelers, taking place in Ireland with a kickoff at 9:30 a.m. ET. Inactives for this game will be announced around 8:00 a.m. ET.

Player Updates and Injury Reports

Among the notable names, Jaylen Warren, running back for the Steelers, was added to the injury report on Friday due to a knee issue. Despite this precaution, indications suggest Warren will be available for the game. Conversely, tight end Jonnu Smith, also from the Steelers, has faced limited practice due to a hip injury and is regarded as a risky fantasy option even if he plays.

For the Carolina Panthers, running back Chuba Hubbard is expected to be active and receive his usual touches. However, the status of wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan remains uncertain after two limited practice sessions due to a calf issue, though he is likely to suit up.

In Tampa Bay, quarterback Baker Mayfield carries a “questionable” tag due to a biceps injury but is anticipated to start. Wide receiver Chris Godwin Jr. will make his 2025 debut, which could influence the performance of rookie Emeka Egbuka.

Confirmed Inactive Players

Several players have already been ruled out for Sunday. For the Panthers, tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders (ankle) will not play, leading to Tommy Tremble taking over the tight end position. Additionally, wide receiver Xavier Legette (hamstring) is sidelined, with David Moore set to fill his role.

In Dallas, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (ankle) will miss the game, positioning George Pickens as the primary beneficiary along with tight end Jake Ferguson, who is expected to see increased targets.

Indianapolis will also be without wide receiver Alec Pierce (concussion), leading to Adonai Mitchell stepping into his place. The New York Giants face their own challenges, with kicker Graham Gano placed on injured reserve and running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. (shoulder) expected to miss 2-4 weeks.

In the late games, tight end Isaiah Likely from Baltimore is likely to play, which could affect the fantasy value of teammate Mark Andrews. Meanwhile, D’Andre Swift (hip) aims to improve his performance against the Chicago Bears, though tight end Colston Loveland is expected to be inactive.

As the kickoff times approach, fantasy managers are advised to stay updated on player statuses to make informed decisions for their lineups. Refreshing the inactives list regularly will provide the most accurate information as teams finalize their rosters.
