Local Music Teacher Meets Snoop Dogg for Epic Collaboration

URGENT UPDATE: Local music teacher Ben Butcher has just secured an unprecedented meeting with international rap icon Snoop Dogg, who is in Australia to perform at the AFL Grand Final. This extraordinary collaboration took place on September 26, 2025, and marks a significant moment for students at Warringa Park School in Werribee South.

Residents of Welshman’s Reef are buzzing with excitement as reports confirm that Butcher, an alumnus of Maldon Primary School, managed to arrange a recording session with the legendary artist. After numerous phone calls and emails to the Education Department, Snoop Dogg dedicated an hour to work with Butcher’s students, who are in their late-secondary school years.

Students at Warringa Park regularly utilize the school’s recording studio to create music that airs on community radio. When they learned Snoop Dogg was coming to town, they voted him their third favorite artist, trailing only behind Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber.

Helen Butcher, Ben’s mother, expressed her pride, stating, “When they heard that Snoop Dogg was coming, Ben decided to try to contact him. After much effort, he made it happen.” The collaboration resulted in an original track that Snoop Dogg wrote and performed with the students, creating an unforgettable experience that will resonate with them for years to come.

This unique encounter not only showcases the talent of local youth but also highlights the positive impact of music education. The event has sparked widespread interest in the community and on social media, with many eager to hear the results of this once-in-a-lifetime collaboration.

As the story develops, further updates on the original track and its release are anticipated. This unexpected link between a local school and an international superstar is a testament to the power of music and community spirit.

Stay tuned for more updates on this remarkable story and the impact it has on the students involved!
