Excitement Builds for 2025 Hawkesbury Local Business Awards

The anticipation is palpable in the Hawkesbury region as judging begins for the 2025 Hawkesbury Local Business Awards. With hundreds of local businesses vying for recognition, finalists are preparing for mystery shopper visits that could define their success. Shops are being spruced up, staff are fine-tuning their customer service approaches, and everyone is on alert for the next customer who may be one of the anonymous judges.

Steve Loe, the founder of the awards and Managing Director of Precedent Productions, noted that this year saw a record registration of thousands of businesses. This surge reflects the growing confidence and creativity within the Hawkesbury business community. “The anonymous judges will visit each finalist and assess every aspect of customer service,” Loe explained. “They’ll be looking at everything from how customers are greeted to staff knowledge, value for money, and even how businesses present themselves online through their websites and social media.”

A Holistic Approach to Judging

Finalists have submitted detailed information about their operations, including their history, staff training initiatives, community involvement, and sustainability efforts. This comprehensive approach allows judges to gain a deeper understanding of each business’s contribution to the region.

For an impressive 35 years, the Hawkesbury Local Business Awards have celebrated excellence in local enterprises, recognizing the hard work and resilience of these businesses. This year, there are 314 finalists competing across 28 categories, showcasing the progressive and innovative spirit that drives the region forward.

Mayor Les Sheather applauded the finalists, emphasizing their essential role in the community. “The business community forms the core of any successful city, and I am proud of the resilience and commitment our business community has demonstrated in what have been, for many, challenging times,” he said. “On behalf of our city, I extend congratulations to all finalists and look forward to celebrating their achievements.”

Gala Event Promises Entertainment

The awards presentation will be held on November 4, 2025, at the Windsor Function Centre. Loe described the evening as “the night of nights” for small businesses, featuring high-class entertainment and fine dining, along with the excitement of revealing the winners one by one. “Finalists tell us how much they and their staff look forward to the awards presentation,” he added. “It’s an evening to enjoy each other’s company, network, and celebrate the pride they take in their work.”

Tickets for the gala are now available through www.thebusinessawards.com.au and are expected to sell quickly.

Community Support Fuels Success

The awards program is supported by presenting partner Commonwealth Bank, major partners NOVA Employment and Richmond Marketplace, as well as support partners like White Key Marketing and the Hawkesbury City Chamber of Commerce. Media partners include The North West News and The Hawkesbury Gazette.

“Their ongoing support reflects their commitment to local businesses and is essential to the success of the program,” Loe remarked. For more information about the awards, interested parties can contact Precedent Productions at (02) 8363 3333 or visit www.thebusinessawards.com.au.
