Tragic Early Morning Crash Claims Life in Central West

BREAKING: A tragic accident in the Central West has resulted in the death of a man in his 50s early this morning. Emergency services responded to a single-vehicle rollover on Curly Dick Road near Tarana at approximately 2 AM on October 12.

Authorities from the Chifley Police District and NSW Ambulance paramedics rushed to the scene, located about 40 kilometers southeast of Bathurst. Upon arrival, they discovered the vehicle had left the road and overturned, leading to the urgent need for medical assistance.

Despite efforts to revive him, the driver, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Our thoughts are with the family during this difficult time,”

a police spokesperson stated, emphasizing the emotional toll of such incidents.

Police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash, and a report will be prepared for the coroner. Curly Dick Road connects the Great Western Highway near Meadow Flat to Diamond Swap Road, just north of Tarana, highlighting the rural location of this devastating accident.

As inquiries continue, authorities urge anyone with information to come forward. The community is reeling from the loss, reflecting the often unseen risks associated with rural driving.
