Charli XCX Discusses Potential Facelift and Past Botox Use

Pop star Charli XCX, known for her candid discussions around beauty and self-image, has revealed that she is considering a mid-facelift in the future. In a recent cover interview with Vanity Fair, the 33-year-old artist shared her ongoing fascination with cosmetic surgery and acknowledged her past use of Botox. She expressed a desire to enhance the volume of her cheeks and under-eye area, illustrating her complex relationship with beauty standards.

Charli stated, “I’m always thinking about how I look and what I would change about my face.” Her candidness about wanting to “tweak” her appearance reflects a broader trend among public figures who grapple with the pressures of beauty within the entertainment industry. She noted, “I’m f****** thinking about all the s*** that I could do and pull and stretch and morph on my face, all the time.”

Despite her interest in cosmetic enhancements, Charli has been mindful of the impacts of Botox on her professional life. She halted her treatments after realizing they affected her facial expressions during acting auditions. “I miss it,” she confessed, adding that she experienced challenges with eyebrow movement in audition tapes post-treatment. This admission highlights the delicate balance many actors maintain between personal aesthetics and professional requirements.

Rumors about Charli’s cosmetic procedures have circulated for years. In 2024, cosmetic injector Molly Bailey posted a side-by-side comparison of Charli from 2013 and 2024, suggesting she might have undergone various treatments, including an eyebrow lift, lip fillers, and possibly a rhinoplasty. Charli engaged with the post, stating, “Omg I’m obsessed w this s***,” indicating her playful attitude towards speculation.

In her interview, the Boom Clap singer also referenced her previous hints about Botox use, saying, “Need more Botox before accepting any awards tho.” This light-hearted remark underscores her comfort with discussing cosmetic enhancements in a public forum.

Addressing the prevalence of misinformation online, Charli shared her views on the futility of countering false narratives. She remarked, “If enough people say that it is true on the internet, it becomes the truth.” When asked about her decision not to correct misinformation, she stated, “You can’t. Fact-checking is dead.”

Charli’s comments come in the wake of speculation regarding a potential conflict with fellow pop star Taylor Swift. Fans have suggested that Swift’s song “Actually Romantic” from her album The Life of a Showgirl critiques Charli. This controversy adds another layer to Charli’s media presence, where she openly acknowledges her inclination to overshare in interviews.

“I have a big mouth, and I say s*** and sometimes it gets me in trouble,” she admitted, showcasing her authentic personality and willingness to engage in conversations about both her career and personal choices.

As Charli continues to navigate her career in the spotlight, her reflections on beauty and self-image resonate with many, illustrating the ongoing dialogue about appearance in the entertainment world. Whether she ultimately decides to pursue cosmetic surgery or not, her openness about these issues invites a broader discussion about the pressures faced by artists in the public eye.
