Pokémon GO’s City Safari Hits Sydney This December – Get Ready!

UPDATE: Pokémon GO is set to launch its first-ever City Safari in Australia, taking place in Sydney on December 13 and 14, 2025. This event promises to transform Sydney into an interactive Pokémon adventure from 10 AM to 6 PM AEDT, making it a must-attend for trainers eager to catch ‘em all!

Get ready, as the City Safari invites players to explore iconic locations such as Darling Harbour and Manly Beach, turning the harbour city into a vibrant Pokémon map. Whether you’re a local or visiting for a weekend getaway, this event is your chance to rediscover Sydney while connecting with fellow trainers.

Tickets are already live and are priced at $19 AUD for a one-day pass or $33 AUD for the entire weekend. These tickets provide access to exclusive in-game features, including a 4-hour Lure Module duration (excluding Golden Lure Modules), up to 5 Special Trades per day, and a 50% Stardust discount on trades. Don’t miss the chance to have your Buddy Pokémon discover the City Safari-exclusive Tiny Compass souvenir!

Players can enhance their experience with add-ons, each available for an extra $9 AUD. Options include the “Raid Lover” pack, which grants up to 12 daily Raid Passes and bonus XP from completed raids, and the “Egg-thusiast” pack, offering 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance along with extra Stardust and XP.

The City Safari also features a thrilling Stamp Rally Adventure. Trainers can participate by exploring key locations like Centennial Park and Milsons Point, collecting unique in-game stamps from designated PokéStops. Each stamp captured earns players an encounter with an explorer hat-wearing Eevee, which has the potential to evolve into various forms.

During the event, players will encounter themed Pokémon, including the rare Mudbray, with opportunities to catch Shiny versions. Additionally, special Pokémon will hatch from 7 km eggs, increasing the excitement for trainers hunting for rare catches.

The festivities extend beyond the game with a dedicated City Safari booth located at Darling Harbour. Attendees can pick up exclusive merchandise, including a Pikachu sun visor, and partake in community activities, giveaways, and meetups. This event is not just about gameplay but also about fostering connections among the Pokémon GO community.

To get involved, trainers can purchase or gift tickets through the Pokémon GO app. Simply tap the Main Menu, select “Events,” and locate “Pokémon GO City Safari: Sydney.” Choose your preferred date, select any add-ons, and complete your payment. Note that all ticket orders must be for the same date, and gifting requires trainers to be Great Friends or higher.

This City Safari is more than just a gaming event; it’s an invitation to explore, connect, and celebrate in one of the world’s most stunning cities. Whether you’re aiming to complete your Pokédex or enjoy the adventure, Sydney’s City Safari is shaping up to be an unforgettable experience. Grab your Poké Balls, pack your sunscreen, and prepare to see Sydney like never before!

Don’t wait! Tickets are limited and expected to sell out quickly, so secure yours now to ensure you don’t miss this incredible opportunity to catch ‘em all in Sydney.
