Scott Cooper Suggests Multiple Sequels for Bruce Springsteen’s Story

Renowned director Scott Cooper has revealed that Bruce Springsteen possesses enough significant moments in his life to inspire multiple sequels to the film *Deliver Me From Nowhere*. The movie, which chronicles the making of Springsteen’s iconic 1982 album *Nebraska*, features Jeremy Allen White in the role of the legendary musician.

Cooper emphasized that the depth of Springsteen’s experiences provides ample material for further cinematic exploration. In a conversation with *Variety*, he stated, “I suppose if you can make four Beatles movies, you can make a couple of Bruce Springsteen movies.” He highlighted that there are numerous chapters in Springsteen’s life that are ripe for adaptation, suggesting a strong interest from both himself and Springsteen in the possibility of future projects.

As the director elaborated, “There’s so many chapters in Bruce’s life, in all seriousness, that are quite right for cinematic treatment.” He indicated that this is a topic they have discussed, noting that Springsteen seems enthusiastic about the film and the storytelling process. According to Cooper, the musician has expressed a sense of comfort with sharing a particularly vulnerable chapter of his life through this film.

Exploring Bruce Springsteen’s Dual Nature

In a related interview with *The Hollywood Reporter*, Jeremy Allen White shared his insights on portraying Springsteen, noting the complexity of the musician’s character. He remarked, “I can look at his performances, and I can watch interviews, but these are public versions. They’re performative in some sense.” White pointed out that even the most honest interactions with the press differ significantly from private conversations.

He reflected on the challenge of capturing the essence of Springsteen, stating, “I had all this footage I could go off of, but you don’t know what this man looks like alone in a house.” This quest for authenticity pushed White to question the balance between creative freedom and the need for a genuine representation of Springsteen.

The film *Deliver Me From Nowhere* offers a glimpse into the life of one of music’s most enduring figures. Both Cooper and White’s comments underscore an exciting potential for further storytelling that could delve deeper into the various facets of Springsteen’s life and career. As interest in the film and its subject grows, fans may soon find themselves anticipating not just one, but several more cinematic chapters of the rock icon’s journey.
