Cronulla’s Headgardeners Celebrates 30 Years of Hair Excellence

BREAKING NEWS: Headgardeners, the cherished hair salon in Cronulla, is officially celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, marking three decades of exceptional cuts, colors, and styling in the Sutherland Shire.

Founded in 1996 by the husband-and-wife team, Tim and Liz Jory, this milestone highlights their unwavering commitment to quality and community. The couple, originally from Cornwall, UK, reflect on their journey from international stylists to local legends, and they are just getting started.

Tim recalls the glamorous days of his early career in London, where he styled for runway shows and high-profile clients. “A lot of well-recognized clients visited the salons, and their chauffeurs would settle the bill… amazing times from the 80s,” he shared. Liz, who trained at London’s prestigious The King’s Road, also brings an impressive background, having served as a technical manager for Revlon Professional, teaching in Paris and across Australia.

Headgardeners has garnered numerous industry awards over the years, but for Liz, the true measure of success lies in the salon’s welcoming culture. “We created a real salon community with a down-to-earth approach where people of all ages belong and feel valued by hair professionals,” she stated.

The Jorys credit their longevity to a strong focus on team dynamics and client relationships. They have trained many apprentices, including a dedicated employee who has been with them for an impressive 17 years. “We always encourage our team to be good communicators and kind, friendly, honest, and professional to maintain high standards and skills,” Liz emphasized.

Looking ahead, the couple is excited about the future. “We look beyond 30 years as we are a hard-working team proud to be hairstylists and supportive of each other,” Liz added. “We work hard, stay humble, and as they say, you’re only as good as your last haircut.”

In addition to their salon operations, the Jorys prioritize giving back to the community. They support several local and national charities, including the McGrath Foundation, World’s Greatest Shave, and initiatives focused on organ donation, skin cancer awareness, and environmental protection.

To kick off their anniversary celebrations, Headgardeners will host special giveaways featuring the popular brands Aveda and Kevin Murphy starting in January. These events promise to engage and reward their loyal customers and the community.

This remarkable milestone is not just a celebration of 30 years of service; it’s a testament to the enduring relationships and the vibrant community that Headgardeners has cultivated. Residents of Cronulla and beyond are invited to join in the festivities and experience the salon’s renowned service.

Stay tuned for more updates as the Jorys continue their journey in the heart of the Shire!
