China Pavilion Triumphs at Osaka Expo 2025, Wins Gold Award

The China Pavilion at the Osaka Expo 2025 has secured the prestigious Gold Medal in the Large Self-built Pavilion Exhibition Category. This accolade was announced on the evening of October 12, 2025, marking a significant achievement as it is the first time China has won a gold medal at an overseas World Expo. The award was presented by the Bureau International des Expositions, highlighting the pavilion’s unique design and cultural representation.

The pavilion’s theme, “Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future for Man and Nature – A Future Society of Green Development,” was brought to life through innovative technology provided by Unilumin Group, Ltd.. The company supplied a comprehensive multimedia solution, including LED displays, projectors, and interactive systems that created an immersive experience for visitors.

Inside the pavilion, the narrative unfolded through engaging presentations titled “Harmony Between Man and Nature,” “Lucid Waters and Lush Mountains,” and “Endless Vitality.” These themes were effectively showcased through the integration of LED displays and projection technology, enabling guests to experience a journey through time and nature. Unilumin’s innovative “Cultural Digital Gene Bank” transformed traditional Oriental elements such as ink wash, silk, and landscapes into a dynamic digital format.

The pavilion’s design also featured the “Adaptive Ambient Light Adjustment System,” which allowed for precise millimeter-level integration of visual displays within the architectural environment. This attention to detail contributed to the pavilion’s popularity, attracting nearly 2 million global visitors since its opening, with an average daily attendance exceeding 10,000 people.

Masayoshi Matsumoto, Chairman of the Kansai Economic Federation, praised the China Pavilion for its vivid demonstration of China’s historical culture and technological advancements. He noted that the exhibition has fostered meaningful exchanges between Japan and China, enhancing cultural ties through this global platform.

As a key supporter of the visual display technology, Unilumin expressed pride in contributing to the pavilion’s success on such a prestigious stage. Looking ahead, the company aims to focus on its core initiative of “LED + AI,” promoting the concept of “Digitalized Metasight Lights up All Industries.” Unilumin is committed to harnessing technology to share more impactful Chinese narratives with a global audience.

The recognition of the China Pavilion at the Osaka Expo not only underscores China’s growing influence in international exhibitions but also exemplifies the country’s commitment to cultural exchange and sustainable development.
