UPDATE: Just announced, the second annual LMA/Feed the World Australian Muslim Community Golf Day is set for Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Brighton Lakes Golf Course in Moorebank. With a goal of attracting up to 120 players, this charity event promises to transform every swing into vital support for humanitarian efforts in crisis zones, including Gaza.
The tournament kicks off with Dhuhur prayers at 1:00 PM, followed by a 1:30 PM shotgun start, where teams of four will engage in an exciting Ambrose format. Under the theme Chipping In For Change, the event aims to build on last year’s success, which raised an impressive $150,000 through participation and a gala dinner.
Organizers expect a larger turnout this year, reflecting the growing momentum within the community. “It’s competitive in the best way, anchored by a shared intention to help others,” said chief organizer Salim Allouche. The event will once again close the course to the public, creating a culturally welcoming space for participants.
Registration is currently open, with team entry at $450 and solo players able to join teams for $120. Each registration includes green fees, a golf cart, and access to the post-round function. Awards will celebrate the top teams and individual achievements, including prizes for Longest Drives and a Hole-In-One.
A streamlined fundraising auction during the post-golf function will further boost support for families in need, ensuring that participants can make a significant impact through their contributions.
With heightened community interest following last year’s inaugural event, spots are expected to fill quickly. Prospective players and sponsors are advised to secure their participation through the LMA’s official platforms.
Excitement is palpable, especially for sponsors like Mohammed Kheir, founder of MK Allan Lawyers. “I am delighted to support the tournament as it provides the opportunity to turn a great day of golf into real support for families who need it most,” Kheir stated.
Mark your calendars for December 13 and prepare for a day where every stroke counts. Join the movement to support a worthy cause while enjoying an afternoon of golf, fitness, and fellowship.
