Huss Brewing Launches Taproom at ASU Stadium for 2025 Season

Huss Brewing Co., based in Tempe, Arizona, is set to open a branded taproom named the Huss Hideout at Arizona State University’s Mountain America Stadium by the start of the 2025 college football season. The taproom will provide fans with locally brewed craft beer during Sun Devil football games, beginning with the home opener against Northern Arizona University on August 30, 2025. This initiative is part of a new partnership between Huss Brewing and ASU Athletics, which commenced on July 1, 2023.

The collaboration designates Huss Brewing as the official craft beer partner of Sun Devil Athletics, enhancing the game-day experience with local beer and branding. As part of this partnership, Huss is launching the Devil’s Halo Lager as the official craft beer of Sun Devil Athletics. This German-style lager will be available at all Sun Devil sporting events, as well as in bars, restaurants, and retail outlets throughout the Valley. A portion of the proceeds from this beer will contribute to the Sun Angel Collective, an organization dedicated to supporting ASU student-athletes through Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities.

The Sun Angel Collective plays a crucial role in helping ASU student-athletes build their personal brands and access important sponsorships and endorsements. This partnership aims to retain and empower top athletic talent within the ASU community, further enhancing the overall experience for fans and athletes alike.

Huss Brewing has crafted Devil’s Halo Lager specifically for the Arizona summer. With an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 4.8%, this lager offers a smooth, crisp taste that is ideal for game days. In addition to the lager, Huss has also introduced the Devil’s Halo Amber Ale, which is available at various locations, including Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers, and will soon be featured at ASU spring sports venues.

Leah Huss, co-owner of Huss Brewing Co., expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “As a proud Arizona-born brewery, we’re beyond excited to partner with Sun Devil Athletics and bring our beers to the heart of the action. Devil’s Halo Lager was brewed to capture the energy and spirit of Sun Devil Nation; it’s crisp, refreshing, and perfect for game day. We can’t wait to welcome fans to the new Huss Hideout this fall.”

Graham Rossini, ASU Athletics Director, also commented on the partnership, highlighting the significance of teaming up with a local brewery: “The debut of Devil’s Halo Lager and the new Huss Hideout at Mountain America Stadium are game-changing additions for our fans, offering a first-class experience that’s authentically local. Even better, this partnership directly supports our student-athletes through NIL, helping us strengthen and retain top talent right here in Tempe.”

Founded in 2013 by Leah and Jeff Huss, Huss Brewing Co. has grown to become the third-largest brewery in Arizona. The company operates under the umbrella of The Huss Family of Beers, which also includes Papago Brewing Co. and has garnered multiple national awards. In addition to its production facility in South Tempe, Huss Brewing runs a brewpub located in downtown Phoenix.

The brewery announced its partnerships with the Sun Angel Collective and ASU Athletics on social media, affirming their commitment to supporting local student-athletes. They have encouraged fans to look for the new Devil’s Halo Amber Ale at various locations, reinforcing their dedication to community engagement through beer sales.

As the 2025 season approaches, the Huss Hideout promises to be a vibrant hub for fans, enhancing the excitement of Sun Devil football while contributing to the local community through initiatives that support ASU athletes.
