Euroa Students Unveil Creative Christmas Cards in Annual Contest

UPDATE: Primary school children across the Euroa electorate are showcasing their creativity in the annual Christmas Card competition hosted by Nationals Member for Euroa, Annabelle Cleeland. With entries flooding in from 23 schools, including Heathcote Holy Rosary Catholic School and Heathcote Primary School, the festive spirit is palpable.

Ms. Cleeland announced that her office has received “hundreds and hundreds” of Christmas card designs, reflecting what the holiday season means to the youth in the region. “We’ve seen what Christmas means to our kids – spending time with family, backyard cricket, twinkling lights, presents under the tree, and plenty of food,” she stated during the announcement.

The entries feature an array of imaginative designs, including “kangaroos in Santa hats, koalas in gum trees, and even a few snowmen for that touch of Christmas magic.” This vibrant display of artistry captures the essence of the holidays, showcasing the talent and heart of students from every corner of the Euroa electorate.

From Benalla to Broadford, and Avenel to Kilmore, each school contributed unique creations, making the judging process incredibly challenging. As a result, Ms. Cleeland’s team decided to select 17 winners to recognize the exceptional talent on display.

All submitted artworks will be exhibited at Ms. Cleeland’s office in Benalla. “I’d love locals to walk past and see the incredible talent of our region’s kids – it’s a wonderful reminder of the joy and generosity that define our communities,” she added, further emphasizing the importance of community engagement during the festive season.

As holiday preparations ramp up, the competition serves as a heartwarming initiative that not only promotes creativity among students but also strengthens community ties. The excitement is building as locals anticipate viewing these festive creations and celebrating the spirit of Christmas together.

Stay tuned for further updates as the winners are revealed and the holiday festivities unfold across the Euroa electorate!
