Oasis has officially released a live recording of their performance of “Slide Away” from the opening night of the Oasis Live ’25 Tour. This highly anticipated reunion tour marks the band’s return after a 16-year hiatus, beginning at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on July 4, 2025. Fans can now stream the live version titled “Slide Away (Live in Cardiff, 4 July ’25)” on all major platforms.
The Britpop icons, consisting of Liam Gallagher, Noel Gallagher, Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, Andy Bell, Gem Archer, and new drummer Joey Waronker, are set to continue their tour with five sold-out shows at Heaton Park in Manchester, starting on July 11, 2025. The excitement surrounding the tour has reignited interest in their extensive back catalogue, which remains popular among music fans.
In addition to the live release, a recent study indicates that Oasis has amassed a significant income from streaming services. According to research conducted by casino comparison site La Planque Du Joueur, their iconic track “Wonderwall” has generated an impressive £7,057,223 from Spotify streams alone as of July 8, 2025. The study estimates that the song has been streamed approximately 2.3 billion times, resulting in an average payout of $0.004 per stream.
Following “Wonderwall,” “Don’t Look Back in Anger” stands as the second-highest earner, having accumulated over 1.1 billion streams and generating £3,247,265 in revenue. Other tracks such as “Champagne Supernova” and “Stop Crying Your Heart Out” have also contributed significantly, earning £1,449,431 and £1,378,028, respectively.
The top ten songs from Oasis have collectively generated around £16.8 million. This list includes fan favorites like “Married With Children,” “Live Forever,” “Stand By Me,” “She’s Electric,” “Supersonic,” and “Slide Away.”
Jean Morlec from La Planque Du Joueur commented on these findings, stating, “These figures show that Oasis’ music remains incredibly popular on streaming platforms, with ‘Wonderwall’ standing out as one of the most streamed songs of its era. The band’s top songs continue to generate substantial revenue more than 30 years after they were first released.”
The ongoing reunion tour has further fueled interest in Oasis’ music, suggesting that streaming numbers may continue to rise. Morlec added, “Their back catalogue has become a valuable asset that continues to generate millions in revenue year after year.”
With the combination of their live performances and enduring popularity, Oasis is poised to maintain their status as one of the most influential bands in music history.
