BREAKING: A tragic accident has left a 33-year-old man dead after a trailer detached from a vehicle collided with his car on the Newell Highway in Tomingley, approximately 38 kilometers south of Narromine. The incident occurred at 6:30 PM on November 21, 2025, prompting immediate response from emergency services.
Authorities from the Orana Mid Western Police District reported that the trailer, which was attached to a Toyota Hilux, broke free and struck the victim’s Toyota Landcruiser. Despite the rapid arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics, the driver of the Landcruiser was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Hilux, a 34-year-old man, was unharmed but taken to the hospital for mandatory testing. He has since been released as investigations continue. A crime scene has been established, with the Crash Investigation Unit actively probing the circumstances surrounding this devastating event.
