The European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) is set to host its flagship event, EACVI 2025, in Vienna, Austria, from December 11 to 13, 2025. This pioneering conference will unite leading experts in cardiovascular imaging, focusing on key modalities such as echocardiography, cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR), computed tomography (CT), and nuclear cardiology. Participants will explore advancements in these imaging techniques and discover how their integration can enhance patient-centred care.
Dr. Victoria Delgado, President of EACVI and Scientific Programme Chair for the event, emphasized the importance of multi-modality imaging in modern cardiovascular care. “While echocardiography is often the first imaging tool used to assess patients, combining it with CMR, CT, and nuclear cardiology allows for a more comprehensive understanding of cardiovascular diseases,” she stated. The EACVI 2025 will introduce an Imaging Training Hub, offering hands-on training in a realistic environment where attendees can develop their practical skills using state-of-the-art simulators. Sessions will also address the evolving role of imaging in accordance with the latest European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Clinical Practice Guidelines, covering critical areas such as myocarditis, cardiomyopathies, and atrial fibrillation. Focus on Artificial Intelligence and Research Collaboration
A notable feature of the conference will be the Artificial Intelligence (AI) track, which will explore how AI technologies can enhance the speed and accuracy of image interpretation within clinical imaging workflows.
