UPDATE: A second man has been charged with the murder of 28-year-old Mal Seve following a shocking daylight shooting in Blacktown, Sydney. This urgent development comes after the tragic incident that took place on November 10, 2023, at approximately 11:50 AM.
Emergency services rushed to Carinya Street after reports of gunfire, where they discovered Seve suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his neck, chest, and leg. Despite immediate treatment from paramedics, he tragically succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Witnesses reported seeing a black Mazda ute fleeing the area, prompting a police chase that ended in a crash on nearby Kildare Road. Two suspects, aged 18 and 25, allegedly fled the vehicle but were apprehended shortly thereafter.
The 18-year-old suspect was charged with murder just two days ago, along with additional charges including taking and driving a vehicle without consent, dangerous driving, and failing to stop for police.
Following his release from the hospital on November 12, the 25-year-old man was transferred to Blacktown Police Station. He now faces multiple charges, including murder, use of an offensive weapon to prevent lawful detention, and resisting police. He has been denied bail and is scheduled to appear in Blacktown Local Court on November 13.
