Telnyx has announced a strategic partnership with CommsPlus to enhance carrier-grade voice and artificial intelligence (AI) services across Australia, Fiji, and Papua New Guinea. This collaboration aims to provide local resellers with direct access to Telnyx’s advanced communications infrastructure, which is designed to support modern cloud and AI applications.
As an authorized Telnyx Value Added Distributor, CommsPlus will offer the full range of Telnyx products. This includes low-latency Voice AI Agents and established integrations with popular unified communications platforms such as Yeastar and Microsoft Teams, along with services like SIP Trunking, Programmable Voice, SMS, and Mobile ESIMs. CommsPlus is recognized for its partnerships with major brands including Avaya, Yealink, Grandstream, and HP Poly.
Darren Laurie, Head of Partner Sales at Telnyx, emphasized the importance of this partnership for the company’s growth in the ANZ region. “Expanding our footprint in the ANZ region is a key priority, and CommsPlus brings exactly the kind of telecom expertise and channel depth we look for in a value-added distributor,” he stated. Laurie highlighted that CommsPlus’s established relationships with resellers and unified communications vendors would facilitate the adoption of Telnyx’s network and AI-ready voice infrastructure.
This partnership grants CommsPlus partners direct access to a global, licensed carrier with numbering capabilities in over 145 countries. The private IP backbone that Telnyx provides is specifically designed for high-quality, low-latency AI voice applications. This integration allows partners to implement a Bring Your Own Carrier (BYOC) model, streamlining operations by consolidating multiple carrier relationships into a single provider.
Paul Bailye, Managing Director of CommsPlus, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. “Adding Telnyx to our portfolio gives our partners access to a truly global, future-focused carrier,” he said. Bailye noted that Telnyx’s offerings will expand CommsPlus’s Voice AI capabilities, enabling partners to simplify operations and provide innovative solutions to their customers.
With the telecommunications landscape evolving rapidly, this partnership positions both Telnyx and CommsPlus to meet the growing demand for advanced voice and AI solutions in the ANZ region. The collaboration is expected to empower local resellers to deliver cutting-edge services that can enhance customer experiences across various sectors.
