URGENT UPDATE: The Riddells Creek Lions Club and the Riddells Creek Neighbourhood House (RCNH) have transformed the town into a festive wonderland just in time for the holidays. The dazzling display along Main Road and throughout the community is the result of tireless efforts from volunteers and local businesses, making this initiative a true community effort.
RCNH president Justus Homburg emphasized the importance of community involvement in bringing the holiday spirit alive. “A number of years ago the ‘Christmas In Riddells Creek’ initiative was established through the dedicated work of several Riddells Creek Community members,” he stated. This program has seen the creation of Christmas tree frames, which are now beautifully decorated and positioned all around town.
In a heartfelt gesture, Narelle McGellin from the Lions Club announced the installation of a special Christmas tree at the local Riddells Creek Cemetery. “We invite family and friends to tie an ornament when sharing a moment for their loved one at this time of year,” she shared, highlighting the emotional impact of the initiative.
The community effort has garnered significant support, with volunteers from the Riddells Creek Lions Club, RCNH, and the Riddells Creek Men’s Shed contributing to the festive displays. Their collaborative work showcases the spirit of giving and togetherness, especially during the holiday season.
Residents are encouraged to explore the decorations, bringing joy and warmth to all who visit. The lights and ornaments are not just a visual treat; they symbolize unity and community support, reminding everyone of the power of togetherness during challenging times.
As the holiday season continues, Riddells Creek stands as a shining example of community spirit, reminding us all of the joy and connection that comes from coming together. Be sure to share the festive updates and spread the cheer!
